ACPWC was Featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2008

Brides & Grooms,

When hiring a wedding consultant, it is imperative to hire someone that has had training in this field.  Too often, you will encounter consultants without any training pick up this occupation as a "hobby" because they think it will be fun and they love weddings!  Although wedding planning is fun, it is often a treacherous road to get to the perfect day.

In Martha Stewart Weddings, Fall 2008 issue, the Director of the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC), which is the school in which I was professionally trained in and an active member,  was featured in the article, "Meet the Planners"  One piece of advice that I really like when it comes to hiring a consultant is, "Be sure your personalities click.  Two different planners may be able to yield the same beautiful results, but you may have a vastly more positive experience with one than the other."

10 Reasons why you should hire a Wedding Consultant

1. Saves time: Did you know the average amount of time spent planning a wedding is over 250 hours? P.S. That is not including the DIY projects!

2.  Budget: Wedding Consultants are NOT just for the stars! Having a consultant can help you SAVE money. Yes, you heard me!

3.  Be Inspired: Nobody wants a cookie-cutter wedding.  At any budget, a consultant can help you create a unique wedding of your dreams.

4.  Don't gamble when it comes to vendors:  A consultant has spent countless hours working with and researching vendors.  They can recommend quality vendors that are within your budget.

5.  Details: So many little details are involved in the planning and wedding day process.  A consultant can bring you details that you many never even thought of.

6.  Consultants are on your side:  Consultants work for you! They don't work for your family friends, or vendors.  They look out for your best interest.

7.  Love your family and friends:  Many brides make the mistake of putting their family and friends in charge.  This is hazardous to your relationships!  Besides, don't you want them in your pictures?

8.  Problem & Schedule Management:  Consultants typically create a timeline for the wedding day and address any issues that arise.  Do you want to be calling the florist on your wedding day to find out where your bouquet is? (this is a true story!)

9.  You can't afford not to!  With all the money and energy that you have spent in preparation for your wedding day.  Why take the risk?  After all, you only have one chance to enjoy the wedding of your dreams.

Bride by Demetrio's Trunk Show 11/14-11/16

Dear Brides,

Demetrios in San Diego is having their trunk show this weekend from Nov. 14-Nov. 16th.  I will be there on Sunday, the 16th from noon to 5pm.  Come on down and visit me. =)  I absolutely love Demetrios!  I truly feel that they have the best deal in town as far as price for the quality of their dresses.  I got my dress there, and still to this day I just love looking at it.  Good luck finding the perfect dress, and hopefully we will see you there!

Samone & Noi November 1, 2008




I have known Samone & Noi for about 7 years now! Boy does time fly! They had such an amazing wedding that incorporated their Lao culture and traditions. It was such a fun experience. With a guest list of 500 guests, you can bet that everyone had a good time. I am so honored to have been given the opportunity to be a part of their special day. This was my first Laotian wedding, and hopefully it will not be my last.

P.S. She is also my amazing hair stylist at Belli Belli Salon in Pacific Beach!

Welcome to Le Chic's Blog!

Welcome! My name is Wynn Austin and I am the owner of Le Chic Wedding Consulting.  Most of my family, friends and acquintances see me as the "Go-To" girl!  Whether it is cooking, decorating, clothes, shopping, finances, or relationship advice.  The fact is they know I love it!  I love sharing what I know and helping with whatever i can.  My purpose of starting this blog is to create a space for resources, ideas, and inspirations!  Also, I've found that in San Diego and on the internet, there are so many wonderful vendors with the most creative ideas and products that have yet to be discovered by many.
